Protocol for participating in a Duke BOLD activity

In order to participate in a Duke BOLD activity, all participants must agree to follow this protocol:

 

General notes:

• If you or any of your roommates have a cough or are experiencing any other COVID-like symptoms, please do not participate in the scheduled BOLD activity.

• If you have been in a group of >10 people or have broken any aspect of the Duke contract within the last 2 weeks, please do not participate in the scheduled BOLD activity.

• Do not bring anyone additional with you on the BOLD activity. We are keeping all groups to no more than 10 people.

 

Prior to the BOLD activity, you must:

• Submit your daily symptoms to SymMon and take your temperature. You must not have a fever and receive a pass to be able to participate.

• Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer.

 

During the BOLD activity:

• Mask use is required at all times during the activity. Please put your mask on before approaching the BOLD group and keep your mask on until you leave the group at the end of the activity.

• If you need to have a drink of water or a snack, you should walk more than 6 feet away from the group before removing your mask to do so. Likewise, during any snack or lunch breaks on a group activity, everyone should be spaced at least 6 feet apart.

• You must carry hand sanitizer with you. Use the hand sanitizer after touching your mask or eating/drinking.

• You must transport themselves to the meeting place. BOLD does not encourage people who do not live in the same household to carpool and BOLD Fellows cannot offer rides to any participant.

• When possible, you should maintain a distance of 6 feet between participants.
